Meath Gardens, formerly Victoria Park Cemetery sits neatly in the pocket of Globe Town and is central focus to the new development of Private Apartments and Social Housing.
The garden contains varieties of small playgrounds, carefully placed logs, bold trees, picnic spots, wildflower, daffodils and bluebells, and carefully designed shapes that compliment the whole arena.
As a place of interest, it tells a story from 19th century burial ground of children who died from harrowing conditions, through to more recent history of aboriginal cricketer, King Cole, who contracted tuberculosis while visiting on his England cricket tour, which is now marked by a gravestone and memorial tree.
Meath Gardens makes for a very peaceful cut through to London’s bigger spaces such as Mile End Park and Victoria Park which is joined by Meath Bridge. Here you can capture the view of Canary Warf and enjoy the vibrant lifestyle of Regents Canal.
