2016 08 03. “The Two-Lipped Door Snail, thought to have originally been introduced accidentally by the Romans from mainland Europe, where it is much more common. Today it is known in this country only from a handful of sites mainly along the Thames Bank in London including Kew, Isleworth, Richmond, Brentford and Chiswick, hence it is know in this country as the “Thames Door Snail””.
