I was really lucky. We had stopped so I could take photos of the light on the water, then I heard a noise behind me and I turned to see a gig being carried by rowers, and behind them another crew carrying another gig. I was in the perfect spot to take photos of these rowers. This same scene is repeated on the Thames each day, as rowers go out to train, but it is different in that they are rowing in a river rather than in the sea, as they are in Cornwall.
