Day at Crystal Palace

By March 10, 2017

We’re organising a day of photographic activity, starting in Crystal Palace Park and finishing at Horniman Museum and Gardens, taking in a pub lunch in between.

Crystal Palace Park is one of the most historically significant London parks. A Grade II listed site, the sights include the nineteenth century dinosaur park, remains of the original exhibition building and a maze, as well as a variety of flora and fauna, including the rare Mandarin Duck.

Horniman Gardens comprises sixteen acres of botanical display, as well as being home to a rich variety of wildlife.  Photographic opportunities include some interesting architectural features such as the restored 1903 bandstand, a totem pole and a collection of sundials – although the vagaries of the British weather mean that we can’t guarantee we’ll see the sundials in action!

This walk will be led by Eric Richards and Del Barrett ARPS

My photographic interests are pretty wide ranging: basically I like to capture what is going on around me, so, I would describe myself as a travel, documentary and street/urban photographer. I was awarded my LRPS in 2015. Oh yes, and I love everything about horses!!
